The Strathspey steam fair & TractorFest - 14th & 15th July 2012.

The biggest event in the Strathspey Steam Railway calendar, the annual Strathspey Fare & TractorFest is back for another year. This is a great day out for the family and it's one of the largest gatherings of steam traction engines, road rollers, road wagons in the North of Scotland. The day features a steam fairground organ and stalls at Boat of Garten, vintage tractor display at Broomhill plus much much more. You can Park & Ride from Boat of Garten. Admission to the Steam Fair is £6. £13 gets you admission to the fair and your ticket to ride the train.

This is a two train day.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee day - 4th June 2012.

Help us commemorate our monarchs 60th year and enjoy a trip on the railway. On this special day we are offering 3rd class ordinarily return ticket to passengers who can show that they were born in 1952. Otherwise, sorry normal fares apply.

This will be a 2 train service the with steam locomotive 6512 built in 1952 and our diesel railcar.

ABERNETHY HIGHLAND GAMES & CLAN GRANT GATHERING - 11th August 2012.

To many it's the highlight of the year, its when Santa travel on our trains. He will be on trains leaving Aviemore on Sunday 11th, Saturday 17th, Sunday 18th and Saturday 24th December, and will have a gift for every child on board up to the age of 12. Last weekend of the season. Two train service, steam and diesel railcar. Shed tours from Aviemore Station at 11am and 2pm. One child accompanied by a fare paying passenger travels free.
